In working the Basics West Coast Swing dancers will learn additional patterns such as Tucks, In/Out Turns, and footwork styling to expand on the basics learned in previous classes. Knowledge of 6-count WCS is a prerequisite. Instructors are Richard Cooper and Judy Leslie Certified Swing Dance Instructors. West Coast Swing is one of the slotted dances derived from the Lindy Hop and is the epitome of all the swing dances. It mixes patterns with a little playfulness and attention to the music to form a dance that can be learned and experienced by both young and old alike. Instructors are Richard Cooper and Judy Leslie. This is the beginning class that introduces everyone to the 3-count L.A. Hustle. It is NOT the (Saturday Night Fever) Hustle done in the 70s. L.A. Hustle is a slower version done to the newer music, which has a slower tempo. It allows for more styling and has beome more of a sady's dance. Basic concepts of the dance are introduced that prepare everyone for subsequent clases. Instructors are Richard Cooper and Judy Leslie.
